The Magic Steps Nursery understands that choosing the right people to look after your child is vitally important and our management team leaves nothing to chance. All of our staff have been recruited in accordance with our Safer Recruitment Policy. A Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check is completed prior to employment and performed again at regular three-year intervals.
Team members are carefully selected in an effort to support our core values and beliefs. We value our staff for the skills, qualifications and experience they bring to our nursery. Reviews are carried out regularly to ensure development and ongoing training needs are met. Our commitment to building the perfect team offers our children a rich tapestry of committed practitioners.
The Magic Steps Nursery utilises recommended child-to-staff ratios to ensure children receive the help and continuity required whilst in our care:
|Children aged 3 months to 2 years:||1 staff member to 3 children|
|Children aged 2 to 3 years:||1 staff member to 4 children|
|Children aged 3 to 5 years:||1 staff member to 8 children|
All of our staff are First Aid trained and carry basic Food Hygiene and Safe Guarding certification. As part of our commitment to staff development, all employees attend regular training classes for behaviour management, Health and Safety and EYFS training events.
Additionally, all team members are individually coached to improve capabilities that support their relationships with children, develop confidence in their knowledge and increase awareness of their own role as an important educational resource.
